Peacock Automotive Hosts Santa's Workshop for Local Kids
Peacock Automotive will host a free family event on Dec. 9 at Peacock Auto Mall

(JASPER COUNTY, SC) Peacock Automotive plans to host "Santa's Workshop" from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, for local families. The event will be free of charge and will take place at the Peacock Auto Mall, located at 84 Auto Mall Blvd. near Bluffton.

Guests will enjoy photos with Santa Claus, gingerbread cookie decorating, a hot chocolate bar and free hot dogs. Live musician, David Ross, will be performing Christmas carols that guests are encouraged to sing along.

There will also be a toy collection drive benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of the Lowcountry. Wish-list items for the toy drive include children's books, coloring books, toy trucks, building blocks, multicultural dolls, musical toys, play dough sets, large piece puzzles, pull toys, sports equipment, board games and art supplies, including glue sticks, markers, scissors and stickers. All toys must be new and unopened and can be dropped off at any dealership in the Peacock Auto Mall from now leading up to the event.

According to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, 84 percent of members who attend Clubs regularly believe they can make a difference in the community. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry operates six clubs in Beaufort and Jasper Counties with over 2,200 members ages six to 18 years.

Peacock Automotive Announces Acquisition of Savannah Hyundai

(SAVANNAH, GA) Peacock Automotive has announced it bought the Savannah Hyundai dealership at 7011 Abercorn Street from previous owner Mark Medinger on Nov. 8. With the addition of the new Peacock Hyundai Savannah, Peacock Automotive has expanded its Savannah footprint to cover more than 15 acres with four conveniently located dealerships.

"We have owned the Hyundai dealership in the Bluffton, S.C., area since 2006," said Warner Peacock, President and CEO of Peacock Automotive. "We like the brand and like working with this manufacturer, which is known for offering a 10-year, 100-thousand-mile warranty. The Savannah Hyundai location is also perfect for us, as it is next to our other properties in Savannah."

Peacock Hyundai of Savannah has approximately 30,000 square feet, including a service department, used car facility and new car facility. It's located next to Peacock Automotive's Savannah Volkswagen, Savannah Fiat and Alfa Romeo of Savannah dealerships.

"This new acquisition is now part of the Peacock Automotive family, so customers will receive the same great treatment, service and selection that they receive at all of our other dealerships," Peacock said. The Hyundai dealership was updated recently to meet the car manufacturer's corporate identity standards and to better serve customers. Current employees will stay with the Peacock Automotive group. Overall, the firm will add 60 jobs to its roster of about 600 people employed at its 20 automotive franchises in Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. NRAM Collision Center Collects Donations for Puerto Rico

NRAM Collision Center, owned by Peacock Automotive, will collect donations for disaster relief efforts to help the citizens of Puerto Rico. A 53-foot trailer was brought to the Collision Center, located on S.C. 170 in Ridgeland, S.C., and will be available for community members to deliver donations until Thursday, Oct. 12.Wish list items for this donation drive include nonperishable foods, general medical supplies, flashlights, batteries, bug repellent, garbage bags, camping cots, canned dog and cat food, gas generators, and hygiene items. Cash donations will also be accepted.

Joanie Iaco, NRAM Collision Center manager said, "One of our technicians at the Collision Center, Pedro Coriano, has three family members who lost their homes in Puerto Rico. At Peacock Automotive, we support all of our team members and their families, and we hope the community will rally to support this cause as well."The donation collection is being organized by Coriano's church, El Santuario De Savannah. This container is one of eight placed around Savannah and Hilton Head. Once filled, the trailer will be shipped to Puerto Rico through the Port of Savannah.

Peacock Automotive Rebrands New River Auto Mall to Peacock Auto Mall in Celebration of 15th Anniversary(JASPER COUNTY, S.C.)

Peacock Automotive has announced a change in branding to reflect its commitment to bringing top car lines to the Lowcountry.

The former New River Auto Mall, established in 2002, now will be doing business as "Peacock Auto Mall."

The automobile retailer's new name and logo were released during an unveiling event on Thursday, Sept. 7. The exterior rebranding was recently completed on U.S. 278 just outside Bluffton, S.C.

"We were excited to celebrate our fifteenth anniversary this year and wanted to celebrate in a very special way," said Warner Peacock, president and CEO of Peacock Automotive. "The rebranding of Peacock Auto Mall now associates the family name with the property along with showing the connections to our other dealerships."

As part of the changeover, the company has changed the look associated with the brand, Peacock said.

"We softened up the logo and made some color modifications that better represent the current identity of our company," he said. "We also added a silhouette of a car to evoke the sense of excitement you feel when test driving the inventory at our dealerships."

Peacock Auto Mall covers 45 acres on U.S. 278, five miles east of Interstate 95 at Exit 8 in South Carolina. It employs approximately 330 people and features 13 brands, including Audi, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Genesis, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, Land Rover, Porsche, Ram, Subaru and Volkswagen.
